Lucky escape for commuter crossing train tracks in northwestern India
A 60-year-old commuter in northeastern India escaped being crushed by a train on Friday (January 1) when a police officer helped pull him onto the platform.
CCTV footage showed the man crossing the tracks at Dahisar station in Mumbai when his shoe becomes stuck in the track.
The commuter frees his shoe and tries to put it back on but a police officer warns him there is a train fast approaching.
The man dashes to the other side of the tracks and the officer hauls him onto the platform with inches to spare before the train enters the station.
