A 12-feet-long python was rescued and released into the wild in northeastern India's Assam on January 3. The incident took place in the Luitpar region located in Tezpur of the Sonitpur district.

A video witnessing the incident features a couple of experts rescuing the python.

One of them grabs the snake by its tail while the reptile furiously withers on the ground. Within moments, the expert holds the snake's face down with a Y-shaped stick while the others use a cloth to cover its mouth.

The python is put in a white sack and carried away.

Later, the rescue team releases the reptile into the wild. They shift the python from the sack to a wooden box and place it on the ground amid the woods.

The snake slides out of the box and slithers into the water of a puddle nearby. The snake zigzags its way through the pond before disappearing into the woods. The python was rescued on Sunday and was released into its natural habitat on January 4.
