A team of 13 World Health Organization scientists arrived in central China's Wuhan to investigate the origins of the coronavirus.

According to reports, two WHO scientists tested positive for coronavirus before leaving Singapore were being retested there, while other scientists took the Scoot Airline TR120 to land at Wuhan Tianhe International Airport at around 11:00 am on Thursday (January 14, 2021).

They will then have to complete two weeks of quarantine like all other arrivals in China.

WHO director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus expressed “disappointment” earlier this month as China declined their entry due to what Beijing claimed were administrative issues.

The file footage, filmed in Wuhan on January 23, 2020, shows soldiers with masks standing at the entrances of Hankou Railway Station to stop commuters from leaving as Wuhan was put in lockdown.

Another file clip shows doctors in full-body protective suits treating patients at Wuhan Union Hospital on January 21, 2020.
