Amazing footage from British Columbia, Canada, captures notoriously stubborn llamas showing off a variety of impressive tricks – including play dead. The llamas were trained by Sarah Smith, who fell in love with llamas when she got her first one nearly 8 years ago. She has spent several years developing her training methods and is driven by a passion to bring attention to the not-so-stubborn side of llamas that people do not realize exists.

In addition to general training Sarah has successfully taught her llamas several tricks – including play dead, rear up, foot touch and spin around. Her success with llamas proves that with proper bonding and enough time invested - llamas are surprisingly willing to learn new things. Sarah also runs the Facebook page 'Llama Training Fun' and maintains a website where people can learn more about her experiences and training methods.

The llamas featured in the video are Harlley (double l on purpose) who Sarah got as a baby nearly 8 years ago, and Lacey who was born on the farm 5 years ago. Lacey has been featured on the TV show BH90210 and even attends events, parties and weddings.

Speaking about the video Sarah said: “ My name is Sarah Smith. I have been working with llamas since I got my first llama, Harlley (double "l" is not a mistake), as a baby 8 years ago.I love being able to show off the sides of llamas that people do not realize exist. That they have unique personalities, they are able to bond to people, and they are actually very trainable. The llama that appears in the majority of my videos is Lacey. She is 5 years old. I have had her since she was a day old, she was born on the farm where Harlley also lives. She knows many tricks but the 'play dead' seems to be a general favorite, along with mine. Lacey has been in a few tv shows including BH90210. She also goes to events, parties, and weddings."
