Bird-watchers and park strollers were on cloud nine when a snowy owl paid a rare visit to Manhattan's Central Park on Wednesday (January 27).

The cute raptor was first spotted at the park's North Meadow at around 9 am.

Footage filmed by @emeseditorials shows how the rare sighting drew a crowd of photographers and regular strollers, who stayed far from the bird to avoid disturbing it.

According to reports, the last recorded sighting of a snowy owl in Central Park was back in 1890.
