A deadly spectacled cobra was rescued from a steel pipe in eastern India, after being discovered by a petrol pump employee.

The incident took place in Mayurbhanj, Odisha on February 1. Reportedly an employee of the petrol pump was holding the steel pipe, not knowing the cobra was inside until he heard its hissing.

After realising this the man threw the pipe away and immediately informed snake rescuer Krishna, who rescued the cobra and released it back into its natural habitat.

One employee of a petrol pump holds the steel pipe for his work but he did not know the Cobra stuck inside the pipe. After sometime he listened to the snake's sound but he searched here and there holding the pipe. At last he came to know the cobra is stuck inside the pipe which he was holding. After known he threw the pipe and informed the snake rescuer.

Snake rescuer Krishna came to the spot and after a while he rescued the cobra and released it in its natural habitat.

After information I have been sent to my team member to rescue the snake. He safely rescued the cobra from the pipe and released it in the jungle , said Vanoomitra Acharya, ex. honorary wildlife warden.
