A possible new Banksy painting appeared on the walls of Reading Gaol, a former prison located in Reading, UK.

The artwork depicts a prisoner escaping using a typewriter in a depiction that has been likened to Oscar Wilde who was incarcerated in the prison and later went on to write a poem called "The Ballad of Reading Gaol."

It is not clear yet whether this was done by Banksy.

A suspected Banksy painting appeared on the walls of Reading Gaol, known as HMP/YOI Reading, overnight. The artwork depicts a drawing of a prisoner escaping using a typewriter in a depiction that has been likened to Oscar Wilde who was incarcerated in the prison and later went on to write a poem called The Ballad of Reading Gaol which recounted an execution that happened during his time inside the prison.
