A robot enthusiast, Milind Raj, rescued a differently-abled dog and built a robot especially to look after it in northern India's Uttar Pradesh. The incident took place in Lucknow. Visuals shot on November 15 feature the coordination between the robot and the dog.

Visuals show the robot in action. The machine approaches the dog, sitting in a corner of the room. It picks up the food items from a plate, takes them to the canine, and feeds her. The robot patiently waits by the dog's side while it finishes its meal.

Milind rescued the dog, Jojo, when the country was under the COVID-19 lockdown. Jojo had been beaten so badly by the locals that she lost her eyesight and hearing ability. She was in a traumatic condition and was scared to encounter human beings when Milind rescued her.

Jojo's condition inspired Milind to create a robot to look after her. The machine feeds and monitors Jojo in his absence. The robot has voice sensors and gets activated upon picking up Jojo's voice. It feeds, calms the dog down, and reduces its fear. The machine keeps a tab on Jojo's health as well.

Milind rescued Jojo in September 2020 and has been looking after her since. It took him nearly 25 days to develop the robot, which he initially tested on himself. Following this, he used the robot for Jojo. She instantly established a sense of comfort with the machine and coordinated with it. The robot has been tending to her since, and her health has significantly improved.

Jojo's traumatic condition convinced Milind that she was not at all comfortable with humans. He developed the robot as a savior, a means to comfort the voiceless, who have suffered at the hands of humans. The machine has played a crucial role in Jojo's steady recovery, and Milind further aims to emphasize humanity through technology for other helpless animals as well.
