Jordanian vet sets up cafe to provide shelter and food for stray cats
A vet in Amman has set up a cafe to provide shelter for stray cats and to also find them adoption opportunities.
Abed Jad explained the main goal behind this project is "to perform his duty as a veterinarian and to reduce the number of stray cats."
He added: "The second goal is to provide a safe space for the people to come and enjoy their time while playing with the cats and for whoever wants to learn about cats' behaviour."
The cafe, which currently has 12 cats, rescues, neuters and vaccinates the felines before putting them up for adoption.
Footage from March 5 shows customers enjoying their drinks while stroking the cats.
