Mother leopard and cub seen crossing forest road together in Sri Lanka
A leopard cub was spotted strolling with its mother in a forest cover in Sri Lanka on March 5. The incident took place in the Wilpattu National Park, located in North-Western and North Central Province.
Video shows a leopardess strolling in a forest cover with its cub in broad daylight. The duo keeps treading in a narrow road, while the visitors in the park halt in their vehicle at a distance to make way for them and catch a glimpse of them. Meanwhile, the mammals keep wandering on the same path and drift into the woods after ambling.
Around 31 species of mammals have been identified within Wilpattu National Park. Mammals, classified as threatened species living within the forest cover are the elephant, sloth bear, leopard, water buffalo, spotted deer, and many more.
