Canadian free diver creates incredible illusion by playing hockey on underside of ice
Footage from Canada has captured the moment a free diver managed to create the incredible illusion of playing hockey at the bottom of a lake. Ryan Foey and Andrew Ryzebol, who free dive together regularly, created the illusion to have some last-minute fun with the end of winter right around the corner. The footage was captured on March 3rd at Lake Huron.
To create the illusion Ryan dove into the frigid water with his hockey gear, including a foam puck, and held his breath while floating up to the underside of the ice. Naturally, holding his breath and controlling movements while upside down proved to be quite challenging for Ryan initially. However, he eventually got the hang of things and the resulting footage proved to be surreal.
