An evacuation order issued on Tuesday (March 9) has now been lifted.

The governor David Ige surveyed flood-damaged communities on Wednesday afternoon and pledged a quick government response.

The filmer told Newsflare: "One to two inches of torrential rain produced catastrophic flooding and brown water advisory on Oahu's windward to north shore. Approximately 14 inches of rain within a 24hr period. Evacuation order for homes and businesses in the town of Haleiwa where Opaeula stream reached dangerous height of 16 feet."
