Venomous viper rescued in India after being found entangled in fishing net

A venomous viper was rescued after being found entangled in a discarded fishing net in Tamil Nadu, southern India.

The owner of a house in Cuddalore rang an animal rescue team after a maid had stumbled upon the distressed Russell viper on April 21.

Snake rescuer Chella used scissors to cut free the viper. The snake was then released back into the wild.
