This is the moment a group of skydivers cartwheel out of a plane like a giant cannonball - and a flying shoe narrowly misses the cameraman.

The incredible eight-man cannonball formation came barrelling out of the plane at 14,000 feet with one of the daredevils losing a shoe in the process.

Steve Fitch, 63, captured the moment on camera - despite being almost hit by the errant shoe.

Adventure sports photographer Steve, from Queensland, Australia, said: “Tully is a fantastic Drop Zone. Great people with fantastic visuals in Tropical North Queensland overlooking the Great Barrier Reef.

“The successful 'eight-way Cannonball' formation - launched from the aircraft at 14,000 feet - and a shoe comes loose and almost hits me at high speed as it flies past,.

"Another shoe was lost during the climb out, but is not picked up by the video - you can see two socks in the still images. Lots of fun was had!
