A trio of Blue-tailed bee-eater birds was spotted in Sri Lanka's North Western and North Central provinces on May 1. The incident took place in the Wilpattu National Park.

A video features the blue-tailed bee-eater birds perched on delicate branches of a tree. Two of the birds have flies clutched in their beaks while one other looks around, scanning its surroundings. Later, the trio of birds playfully engages with one another.

These birds are mostly found across South and Southeast Asia, where many populations are strongly migratory. The Blue-tailed bee-eater birds often migrate into the country in April and are widely spotted in the National Park.
