'In this video, Skye Keegan tests her two-and-a-half-year-old son, Elijah's patience by placing a handful of chocolates in front of him and asking him not to eat 'em until she returns.

Skye then pretends to go to the bathroom as Elijah tries his best to resist grabbing the sweets and gulping them in one go. At one point, he even lets out an anticipatory giggle.

Eventually, the toddler manages to wait for his mom to get back without giving in to his chocolate temptations, and thus, gets to reap the rewards of his determination.

The filmer said: "We have seen other parents doing the candy challenge on their children. so we thought we should try it on our son, Elijah. We did not expect it to be so funny, and he did so well that we thought we would put it up on TikTok for everyone to enjoy."
