Tortoise and rabbit race in US pet shop
An adorable video has emerged from a pet store near Philadelphia, PA, US of a tortoise and a 'hare' racing one another.
In the footage, captured on Friday, a Russian tortoise named 'Herbert' and a dwarf rabbit named 'Sven', can be seen competing as the staff shout encouragement. While Herbert stays on the straight and narrow, Sven wanders off in different directions before catching up.
After the bunny heads in reverse, the tortoise manages to win the race to cheers from the group - following the famous tale's example.
The filmer later wrote online: ""The race between the tortoise and the rabbit!
"AKA what happens at Paws & Claws Pet Store when it's slow! We race Herbert the Russian Tortoise and Sven, the dwarf bunny!"
