Underground drone racing in Canada

A cool video has emerged of drones being raced in an underground car park.

The footage was captured from a racing drone in an event held in a parking lot in Coquitlam, BC, Canada on Saturday night.

“This new extreme sport is getting a lot of people excited,” the filmer later wrote online.

“These are small to medium sized helicopters and multi rotor UAVs, or drones as the media likes to call them. Groups are forming and setting up racetracks, using natural obstacles like trees, and when the weather is bad or when it's dark, we go to underground parking lots.

“These drones can do up to 50mph but usually a little slower in the limited space we have, but the corners and chases are none-the-less, adrenaline filled.”
