Adorable footage shows a protective pet cat lightly biting his owner so he would ‘free’ a crying baby.

The one-year-old Puspin moggie named Cecilia went up the bed to free baby boy Demarkus from his father who wanted him to sleep in Davao City, the Philippines.

The boy’s mother Dewanie Catapang said it was the baby’s nap time but he still wanted to play so he started to cry.

She said: ‘Our baby wanted to play more but it was already his nap time. His dad held him so he cried. We didn’t realize it would make our cat worried. She was trying to protect him.’
