An amusing video has emerged from the US of a good-humoured teacher being pelted by dodgeballs.

In the footage, captured by a student in a classroom at Utah State University earlier this month, a student raises his hand before hurling a ball at the teacher.

Seconds later, the rest of the class joins in as part of a pre-planned stunt:

“At Utah State, We are part of a marketing class that is encouraged to create ideas that are new, different, and entertaining,” the filmer later wrote online.

“The teacher himself will occasionally yell, or do funny actions to keep the attention of the class. When asked to create a video for the assignment, we decided to give him a taste of his own medicine. With stress already high and low pass rate in this class, this would be the only time we could let out our anger and get back at him. What we didn't expect, is how he would react…”
