Flooding and landslides triggered by heavy rain have swept across Nepal, leaving 11 dead and many injured according to officials.

On Tuesday evening (June 15), the Melamchi River began to flood, damaging the village of Melamchighyange, with footage filmed by local resident Deep Kiran showing building foundations submerged in river water.

Footage from the Helambu area on June 17 shows roads and rivers choked with mud, while JCBs and excavators can be seen working to free up blocked roads.

One of the most worst affected areas is Sindhupalchok region, where in the Helambu area, a local boy named Deep Khadka went to his house on June 17 after a landslide and found it totally devastated.

Footage shot by Khadka features him explaining: "I lived here with my family and uncles, mud is all over inside my house, my farm lands are gone into the water. There is thick mud everywhere and heavy waves of muddy water still there."

On Tuesday evening (15th June), the Melamchi River suddenly started flowing from Chanaute Bazaar. The floods have damaged the market.
Deep Kiran Who filmed this video tells that he was working at his fish farm says that its still unknown what exactly happened but its said There was a large landslide in Melamchighyange village and there was sudden havy flow of water due to this the farm , fish farm all washed up , but I can see my house from far upright there standing .
His house was a little higher, but his uncle's house a little lower. Deep's uncles were found by the flood while fleeing. He said that the uncles had finally escaped the flood but unfortunately Deep’s grandmother Tika Devi Khadka is missing.

Deep tells he lived here with his family and uncles , muds are all over in my house , farm lands are gone into water , there is thick mud everywhere and heavy waves of muddy water still there .
