An amusing video has emerged of a guinea pig getting stuck in a jar of treats.

In the footage, captured at a home in Lafayette, LA, US earlier this month, the chubby critter refuses to budge from the jar until she is finally tipped out covered in food.

“My female guinea pig Maddie is greedy and now that's she pregnant it's even worse,” the filmer later wrote online.

“When I went to feed her she ran into the jar. Once she got into the jar she braced herself, putting her arms out so that I could not pull her out. Ever time I tried to pull her out she did what guinea pigs do best she would burrow herself deeper into the sweet treat jar. Finally I gave up and had to shake her out.”
