An illustrator filmed as she painted an animal-themed mural at a primary school in Hertfordshire, UK.

Lizzie Knott was commissioned to paint an animal picnic artwork to brighten up the school.

She said: "I was commissioned to paint an animal picnic mural and thought I would film the process to see how I developed it. I decided to share it and it received a lot of positive attention and people loved seeing the progress so I have filmed each day!

"My family thought that it was great to be able to see behind the scenes of what I did for work and see how a painting like this can come together. They also loved the upbeat music and really enjoyed watching it.

"In the video, I am showing my progress of a mural painting that I have been commissioned to do at a primary school. Starting with the basic colours and first layers and building on top of that, with text and audio to describe the process. I am making a video for each day of the painting!

"This mural will hopefully brighten up the school, the atmosphere and the mindset of the children! After a rough year and with the pandemic separating them from their friends and the staff at the school, we wanted to paint something which was happy, bright and positive to lift the spirit."
