A dramatic video has emerged of a man crashing on a downhill longboard slide in Santa Monica, Los Angeles, CA, US.

The footage, shot earlier this month by a friend, shows the man riding a longboard at high-speed when it starts wobbling and gives way beneath his feet.

"He slid for about 10-13 feet on his face. We were very happy the He only received minor injuries, being road rash and two deep cuts in his face. All in all he only needed 7 stitches in his face" the filmer later wrote online.
