This is the amusing moment a toddler stopped crying after her mum broke open a piggy bank with money inside.

Two-year-old girl Jaijai was seen sobbing beside her mother as she refused to have the ceramic pig opened in Udon Thani province, northeastern Thailand.

However, as cash poured out of the piggy bank upon cracking it open, the girl suddenly stopped crying and appeared curious about the money instead. There was around 5,000 GBP worth of Thai bank notes in there. Each of the large brown notes is 1,000 baht (22.50GBP).

Her mother Waraporn Tangman said: ‘We’ve been saving money in this piggybank for seven years. I thought she was sad that we were breaking the pig but she stopped crying when she saw the money.’

The money was transferred to a plastic and the girl picked up one forgetting about the pig completely.
