Vehicle runs over boy bending down to tie shoelaces in southern China
An SUV ran over a boy who bent down to tie his shoelaces in southern China.
The CCTV video, filmed in the city of Foshan in Guangdong Province on August 8, shows a 7-year-old boy bending down to tie his shoelaces in front of a parked SUV.
The car suddenly began moving forwards and ran over the kid. The boy then got back on his feet and ran to the side of the road.
The boy's father picked him up and sent him to hospital immediately.
Since the boy was in the SUV's blind spot, the motorist did not see the child and began driving forward.
The boy suffered fractures to his ribs and lower jawbone and other minor injuries.
The boy's father and the SUV owner have already made an agreement on compensation.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
