This is the moment heavy rains triggered flooding in China.

Footage shows flood water gushing into a shop amid a downpour in North Bund, Shanghai City on August 11. Roads in the area were also flooded. Meanwhile, scattered thunderstorms reportedly battered the districts of Hongkou, Pudong, and Yangpu.

Several provinces in China, including Henan and Zhejiang, have experienced extreme weather in the past few weeks, with at least 300 dead from floods.

Scientists warn that climate change might bring similar weather phenomena in the future.
