This footage was filmed and produced 15 August 2021.

Dozens of people gathered in Mississauga on Sunday in protest over recent developments in Afghanistan and to stand in solidarity with the Afghan people. Maihan Sarwary said the protest was organized by the Afghan Youth Movement of Canada.

The video shows people gathering in Mississauga for a rally in solidarity with their countrymen and to condemn the actions of the Taliban, who have taken control of Afghanistan. Waving Afghan flags and holding up signs that read 'Save Afghanistan,' 'Help My Friend & Family #Afghanistan,' and 'Stop War in Afghanistan,' hundreds showed up at Celebration Square to denounce the takeover and call on the international community to do more to help Afghanistan.
