Watch the moment nest of aquatic insects burst out of eggs and plunge into water
This is the moment a nest of vibrant aquatic bugs hatched and plunged into the water below.
Filmed in an aquarium in Yen Bai, Vietnam, the footage shows the individual water boatmen burst out of their eggs attached to a pole.
The yellow-coloured insects then plunge into a small pool of water below them.
Female water boatmen will attach their eggs to algae or plant stems. The males attract mates with a courtship song they make rubbing their front legs against their heads.
This footage was filmed on July 17.
