Batman fills up at US petrol station

Buy video

An amusing video has emerged of a man dressed as batman filling up his batmobile at a petrol station in Maryland, USA last week.

The footage, captured by a professional filmmaker during a road-trip, shows the man stopping off at a service station to fill up his replica of the iconic 1960s batmobile - in full costume.

Writing online about the encounter, the filmer said: "My wife and I were driving from Florida to New York to go to a conference. Tired & road weary, we pulled into a gas station in who knows where to reenergize.

Little did we know, BATMAN was there in full regalia filling up and working on the Batmobile! The funny part that we thought was the absolute commonplace way he was going about his business - no fanfare, no grand gestures. It was simply a hero going about his business of keeping his machine in working condition. The randomness of the situation and the slap-happy state we were in made it all so much funnier to us!"
