'To call this girl a daredevil would be an understatement. After all, how many people swim in ice-cold water on a daily basis?

This video, filmed in the Lake District in Cumbria, features the said girl smashing the ice on the lake surface before traversing the same water!

She said: "I love to swim in cold water or ice every day in January to raise money for charity and spread awareness of how being outside is crucial for our well-being. I don't usually use boots or gloves as it helps me experience the cold better."

The subject also offered a helpful piece of advice directed toward people inspired by her: "The broken ice is quite sharp, so it’s important that the ice bits are cleared away as you go. It’s a trained experience and one that can be learned over time. So, please don’t just plop into an icy tarn!"
