A few elephants broke into a fenced region, using their brutal force on the delicate wires in Sri Lanka's North Central Province on August 25. The incident took place in Minneriya.

Visuals feature a tusker approaching the wire fencing amid the bushes and breaking it with all its force. After a while of struggle, the jumbo accomplishes its goal and walks through the area while two more elephants join it to cross the greenery to look for food. Later, after the sun goes down, other pachyderms also break into the region.

The elephants in the region are known for straying off their corridors to look for food. Sometimes they are forced to eat from garbage as the availability of food for them has reduced over the period. So, they often relocate across the forest covers, making the locals familiar with such incidents.
