Video captured the moment Hurricane Ida blasted Louisiana with high-speed winds and torrential rain on 30 August.

The video shows Hurricane Ida hitting Louisiana. As the author of the video says, this is the first footage Joe Biden watched at FEMA (the Federal Emergency Management Agency). After watching it, he said: "We're in big trouble."

A million people were without power in Louisiana as Hurricane Ida was downgraded to a tropical storm.

The storm brought 150mph (240km/h) winds when it made landfall and those people who did not flee were advised to shelter in place.

One person was killed when a tree fell on their home in Ascension Parish, in the Baton Rouge area.

This footage was filmed and posted on social media by @ercanharmanci.
