STORYLINE:

Israel has recaptured four of the six Palestinian militants who escaped from a high-security prison earlier this week in one of the most spectacular breakouts in the country's history, police said.

The magistrates' court remanded for nine days the four Palestinians, of the six prisoners who had been rearrested by the Israeli forces after they broke out of the Israeli Gilboa Prison on Sunday-Monday night.

Israel waged a massive manhunt following confirmation of the escape to the six prisoners from the heavily fortified Gilboa prison in the north of Israel after digging a tunnel from their cell to outside the prison wall.
