An amusing video has emerged from the US of a man running onto the field and performing a somersault during a baseball game in St Louis, Missouri on Monday.

The video, captured by a fan during a game between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Chicago Cubs
at the Busch stadium, shows the prankster performing a somersault on the home plate.

Security eventually managed to apprehend the man and lead him off the field.

Writing online after the event, the filmer said "A fan rushed onto the field, got chased across the field, eluding security, and landed a great somersault onto home plate, got sacked by 5 security personnel, and is arrested/removed from field. "Touchdown!" can be heard nearby as fan lands on homeplate."
