A husband who lost his wedding ring cliff jumping has had it returned by strangers who posted it on Tik Tok - over a year after he originally lost it.

Calvin Jorden-Ames, 28, had a wedding anniversary to forget after he lost his ring during a photo shoot with his wife, Alexis Jorden-Ames, also 28, in July 2020.

The couple were devastated when it transpired that Calvin's specially engraved ring had slipped off his finger after he jumped into the sea in South Kona, Hawaii.

However, little did they know a month later Ryan Priest, 32, and his wife Corinne, 29, were jumping at the same spot when Ryan found the ring nestled in some lava rock.

Desperate to find the owner, the couple, who have their own photography business on the island, decided to make a video on Tik Tok sharing their discovery.

For over a year, their video got no response, until the photographer who directed the shoot recognised the inscription on the the inside of the ring earlier this month.

Blown away, Ryan got in contact with Alexis telling her that he'd found the ring, and sure enough, it belonged to her husband.

Alexis, who is also a photographer, was overjoyed by the news and was keen to savour the special moment forever by filming Calvin's reaction to the surprise.

In a touching video, Ryan and Corrine can be seen pretending to be tourists at the beach where the ring was originally lost.

Poised and ready, Alexis films the couple produce the ring out of a handful of sand and present it to her husband.

Upon realising what's happened, Calvin immediately embraces Ryan, despite only meeting him seconds earlier, in the wonderful moment caught on camera.

This video was filmed on the 25th September 2021.
