The Kivach Nature Reserve is located in the village of Kivach of the Republic of Karelia. This is one of the oldest nature reserves in Russia - it was created in 1931. The Suna River flows on the territory of the reserve, which forms the Kivach waterfall. For a long time it was considered the largest plain waterfall in Russia and the second largest plain waterfall in Europe.
