Orphaned elephant, Khanyisa, rolls in the sand shortly after being rescued and brought to HERD
Khanyisa is an orphaned albino elephant rescued in January 2020 from a poacher’s snare. This video was filmed not long after she came to Hoedspruit Elephant Rehabilitation and Development (HERD), while she was undergoing rehabilitation for the horrific wounds caused by the snare. Filmed shortly after being rescued and brought to HERD, this video shows Khanyisa enjoying a roll and play in the sand.
