Thousands of people protested in Khartoum against Sudan's recent coup, despite a new power-sharing deal between the military and the Prime Minister they deposed a month ago.

At the rally on Thursday 25 November, security forces are reported to have fired tear gas at protesters.

There have been rolling, and often fatal, protests against the military since they took over on 25 October. They have continued despite the new political deal as major pro-democracy groups have not accepted the agreement.
