Rice wine leaked into a lake in eastern China seeing thousands of "drunk" fish rise to the surface.

Video captured in the city of Shaoxing in Zhejiang Province on November 25 shows a large amount of fish floating on the surface of Jian Lake.

One clip shows a man taking a fish out of the lake and it was moving slowly in the man's hand.

According to reports, a winery caught fire and the rice wine leaked out and flowed into Jian Lake.

There were goldfish, catfish and other species in the lake. Some of the floating fish were "drunk" but some were dead already.

Many people went to catch the fish that were floating on the lake's surface.

The scenic area will wait for the fish to rise to the top before cleaning the lake.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
