Hundreds protesters marched on Downing Street in London’s Westminster on Saturday afternoon (November 27) after dozens of refugees lost their lives in an attempt to cross the English Channel to reach the UK.

The so-called Don’t Let Them Drown protest was organised by migrant charity Care4Calais along with the Stand Up To Racism organisation.

On November 24, 17 men, seven women, two teenage boys and a girl died off Calais on the French coast while trying to get to the UK in an inflatable boat.
