An elephant herd chases locals in a tea estate in India.

The large animals, which entered the tea plantation most probably in search of food, are surrounded by curious people. An elephant starts charging the group, which runs away in fear.

At first, people seem to be very scared about the large animals, but when the angry elephant retreats from its charge, locals are seen running back towards the herd in an attempt to scare the animals away and make them leave the tea estate.

In India, these encounters are very common. Elephants usually wander around tea plantations or residential areas in search of food.

The clip was filmed at the Dholaguri Tea Estate, Golaghat district, India's state of Assam, on November 28.
