Mesmerising footage captures the first official run of the Train of Lights 2021 as it passes through Goodrington, Nr. Paignton.

Scott Williams, professional photographer made his way to railway bridge in Goodrington, Nr. Paignton on a cold November night to get a glimpse at the most spectacular sight.

Footage shows a Dartmouth steam railway steam train COVERED front to back in Neon LED lights bellowing down the tracks.

Scott films the amazing sight in the company of his two year old daughter who can be heard saying “wow” in amazement in the background of the video.

Scott,47 from Paignton South Devon who established his photography company in 2020 said:

“This video features the Train of Lights which is operated by the Dartmouth Steam Railway and River Boat Company.”

“This event started in 2018 and was a big hit from the start. Obviously, last year it was unable to run due to Covid-19 so it is lovely to see it back running along our beautiful South Devon coastline between Paignton and Kingswear (Dartmouth). “

“Personally, I'm a big big fan of the Steam train and love to see and hear it. I also love Christmas so this is always something I look forward to seeing every year.”

“I also have a 2 year old little girl who loves the train (as you can hear in the background of the video). It really is a magical sight.”

“I was also surprised to see so many people there taking in the magical sight. It is something the whole community love.”

“I cannot believe the video went viral and has been seen by around 3 million people! It's nice to know people love the train as much as I do.”

This video was filmed on the 24th November 2021.
