This boy held up a sign reading 'I am a bully, honk if you hate bullies', a message forced upon by his parents who sat in deck chairs on the side of the road.

Gavin Klein captured a video showing this form of punishment clearly put upon on the misbehaving boy whilst traffic passed in Ellerton, Florida on December 18th.

Gavin and his friend were shocked at the sight saying the parents themselves were bullies for imposing this punishment on their child.

The video has sparked further debate amongst the 4.7 million people who have viewed the video whether this behaviour prevents or perpetuates the bullying.

Gavin said: "I thought this was an awful punishment because he is so young and when you humiliate a 9 or 10 year old bully it’s just going to make his self esteem worse in turn, causing more bullying not solving the problem.

"I didn’t hear a single honk."
