In Uganda's largest city and at the same time its capital, Kampala, plastic garbage clogs drains. The Kampala Metropolitan City Administration tried to provide the streets with urns, clean the streets and take out garbage more often, and even campaigned for plastic recycling.
Many Kampala residents collect plastic not only to reduce pollution in the region, but also to earn money.
