Video from Frederick, Maryland of the powerful winter storm that went up the east coast of the United States, on Martin Luther King Weekend, specifically during the afternoon and into the overnight hours on Sunday January 16, 2022. The storm started as snow in Frederick, which accumulated to approximately 4 inches before changing to heavy sleet and freezing rain, creating a decent glaze of ice on outside surfaces, and bending tree branches in all kinds of directions. The storm also produced heavy thunderstorms in counties on the eastern and western Shores of the Chesapeake Bay.
