Two moped riders in Taiwan felt instant pangs of regret at their own carelessness when they ran red lights right in front of traffic cops they hadn't noticed.

In one incident, filmed by dashcam in Xitun District of Taichung City on 14 November 2021, a cheeky moped rider gave up waiting for the light and skipped through a red, only to discover a traffic cop was on hand to flag them down and probably give them a ticket.

Impatience got the better of another scooter rider too, in Shalu District of Taichung City, on 15 November 2021.

They thought it would be a good idea to skip the red light, only to then notice a traffic cop by the side of the road, who immediately flagged them down. All avoidable if only they had waited a couple more seconds.

Do you think that this moped rider instantly regretted skipping through this red light? When this moped rider was waiting for the traffic lights to switch to green, they noticed ahead that a speeding moped rider was swaying through traffic and through a red light. Little did they know that the traffic enforcer was watching them and switched their lights on to chase them. They were forced to slow down and stop at the side of the road and likely received a ticket.

These moped riders were waiting at the traffic lights. The rider in front got very impatient waiting and thought it would be a good idea to skip through the red light. As they drove off, a traffic enforcer was at the side of the road and waved them down. They could have avoided punishment if they had waited 2 more seconds for the lights to change.
