Video captured a Vietnamese man raising tens of thousands of crickets on the farm in Thanh Hoa, Vietnam.
According to the man, he is a cricket farmer, he started raising crickets in 2020, This is an insect with high economic value in the area. The crickets are raised as food for poultry and ornamental fish, in addition, the large crickets are processed as a specialty dish for local people.
The man started to experiment with about 500 crickets. These crickets then grew and reproduced to date, nearly 90,000 crickets have been raised on his farm. Every day he sells more than 5000 crickets to the market, earning about 80 USD.
He said this is a very easy insect to keep. They eat plants. so the cost of farming is very low.
