This is the heroic moment a kind woman saved a cat trapped under a rock.

The woman was feeding stray animals in the area when they heard the strange noise coming from a concrete wall in Manila, the Philippines on December 27.

Upon inspection, they saw a moggie struggling to come out of the rocky ground under the wall. The woman then reached out her hand to the cat after luring it with food.

After taking out most of the rocks, the space was big enough to take the cat out. The gray kitten was then brought to the animal shelter where her rescuers worked to be cared for.

The woman, founder of the animal shelter, said: 'I did not think that an angelic kitten would be inside. I was relieved that we decided to come to the area.'
