ICYMI: Lithuanian prime minister walks straight past No.10 door during visit to UK PM Boris Johnson

There was an awkward moment in Downing Street when Lithuania's Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė walked straight past the entrance to Number 10 during a visit to Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

The Lithuanian PM quickly stopped herself and greeted her UK counterpart, when the latter belatedly opened the door.

The visit comes amid tension with both Russia and China, the latter of which is angry about Lithuania allowing Taiwan to open a representative office in Lithuania under its common name, Taiwan.

It is common for such offices to be given other names, such as 'Taipei', to avoid offending Beijing, which considers the island a renegade province rather than an independent entity.

The build up of Russian troops near Ukraine is also concerning NATO member Lithuania.
